Studies have identified a trait of successful communicators is asking questions. This has lead many people to mistakenly believe that because they ask questions, they are good at communicating.
Unfortunately, it's not the asking of questions that makes a great communicator. Questions are just a tool that can be used as easily for harm as for good. (e.g. sarcastic or leading questions meant to trap or anger)
It's the desire to understand other people that makes a truly great communicator. Keep that thought in mind as you qualify your questions.
