Regular Behavior

Over the last month I've had the opportunity to break from my typical routine.  The break has opened my eyes to some interesting patterns of behavior I have developed.  Regular things I was doing on a weekly, even daily basis, without really considering their impact.

I thought these "interesting" patterns of behavior were taking me in the right direction, taking me where I wanted to go.  In reality they were unproductive, even counterproductive, to my goals. 

Recognizing this behavior is more than half the battle.  Now let's see if we can change them.

There will always be someone who influences you, who motivates you, who invites you...  someone who provides a sliver of opportunity for you to be extraordinary.  And that's ok. 

Don't discount your success because you had help, be grateful for your good fortune.

The Name Game

People meet a lot of different people and people make mistakes.  That combination means it's inevitable that your name will occasionally be forgotten, even if you have made an impact.

Your options:

1. Get angry to ensure the person knows the gravity of their mistake, embarrassing both the offender and you
   
2. Handle the situation with tact, allowing both the offender and you to walk away with respect

Which door will you choose?

Impact

Your name is important to you but it's not important to other people.  Don't count on them knowing it just because you've told them what it is.
